Diabetes Recipes - Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse

The diabetes recipe for today is Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse.
This
mousse recipe is a great dessert and, contrary to what most people
believe in, chocolate mousse is healthy for diabetic patients as long as
the right ingredients are used.
Ingredients:
2 oz dark chocolate
3 tbsp hazelnut, chopped
2 oz milk chocolate, melted
2 oz white baking chocolate, melted
1 8 oz frozen light whipped dessert topping
1 ½ 8 oz package of fat-free cream cheese, softened
Directions:
1) Line a loaf pan with heavy foil and extend the foil up over the edges of the pan. Set aside.
2) In
a bowl, beat 1/3 of cream cheese with a mixer set at medium speed for
30 seconds. Add the 2 ounces of melted dark chocolate until smooth.
3) Fold 1/3 of the dessert topping. Mix until well combined.
4) Spread the mixture on the pan and freeze for 30 minutes or until firm.
5) In
another bowl, beat half of the remaining cream cheese using an electric
mixer for 30 seconds on medium speed. Add the melted milk chocolate
until smooth and fold in the remaining dessert topping. Spread the
mixture on top of the dark chocolate layer.
6) Sprinkle with hazelnut and freeze for 24 hours until firm.
